Learn more about the artist behind the art. 

Francesca Sene is a Hampshire based Arsenal fan who counts down the seconds to the next game day. Given that she had always drawn portraits, it only seemed natural to start drawing some of her favourite players from the sport in her free time.

In her spare time, Francesca used to speak about Arsenal FC on her youtube channel 'Goalartzo'. She also studies music production and is a vocalist and part-time gardener in Hampshire, UK.

Besides spending most of her time gardening, she continues to create portraits of players and design new concepts for clothing regularly.

The Team

Goalartzo is a one-man-band, run by artist, designer and founder Francesca Sene. We work with TwoFifteen, a UK company which prints our designs onto clothing for us.

Community Aims

Our aim is to build Goalartzo into a household name for football fans. This would mean we could grow large enough to be able to send significant proceeds to charities close to our hearts, such as Gooners vs Cancer, the Arsenal Foundation and mental health charities such as MIND.

We also hope to spread a passion for fine art amongst younger football fans, and make art 'cool'!

How it's Made

Francesca draws the players by hand, scans her artwork to turn them into HD digital files, and edits the art into designs using PhotoScape editing software. The art and design process for each player graphic takes between 20-40 hours.

Sustainability

We are really passionate about making sure our clothing is as environmentally-friendly as possible. We use FairShare AWDIS hoodies, 100% Salvage recycled T-Shirts by Continental Clothing, and Organic Vegan sweatshirts from Stanley/Stella as the base. It has been a long journey researching the best, most ethical way to start a clothing business, but we are so proud with our selection so far.
